IVF stages For women : Dr Roya Rozati Best Fertility Doctor In Hyderabad

1 .  Increase egg production

Once your normal cycle has begun, you will be given a known fertility hormone called gonadotropin. You usually inject it daily for 12 days. This hormone increases the number of eggs you produce.

2 . Monitor progress

The clinic will monitor your progress during medication through a vaginal ultrasound scan. The first scan is usually on the eighth, ninth, or tenth day of the injection. Between 34 and 38 hours before the eggs are collected, you are injected with a hormone that helps your eggs mature. The injection time, which is usually done at a specific time, is very important for this stage.

3 . Egg collection

Your eggs are usually collected through ultrasound guidance when you are unconscious. A hollow needle is attached to an ultrasound probe that collects the follicles of each ovary. You may experience some pain and bruising, cramping or, to a lesser extent, bleeding from your vagina. After your eggs have been collected, if your embryo is transferred fresh, you will be given suppositories, ampoules, or even gels to help prepare the lining for the embryo. But if your fetus freezes, your prescription for the transfer cycle is different and you should go to the clinic for further guidance

4 . Fertilize eggs

Your eggs are injected into your partner’s sperm or with donated sperm and cultured in the laboratory for 20 to 16 hours after signs of fertility. Those that are fertilized (called embryos) will grow in a laboratory incubator for 5 days. The embryologist will examine the embryos and select the best ones for transfer. Any remaining good quality embryos can be frozen for future use

5 . Embryo transfer stage

If you are under 40, 1 or 2 embryos will be transferred, and if you are over 40, up to 3 embryos may be transferred. The number of transferred embryos is limited due to the risk of multiple births. Your doctor may suggest that a fetus be transferred (SET). If he feels that this is the best option for you. This procedure is similar to removing a cervical smear, in which a suitable tube (catheter) is guided using an ultrasound and passes through the cervix, and the fetus is transferred to the uterus through a tube. This procedure is usually painless and does not require any sedation. But you may feel a little uncomfortable, because your bladder should be full when you have an ultrasound.
